He wrote and produced the Celtic FC dvds: “This Is Just The Beginning” (2012),“125 Years” (2012) and 125 Years In The Making (2013). He has also presented the club's daily magazine tv programme “The Huddle Online, conducted classic interviews with former Celtic players as well as interviewing the current squad and management team. He established himself as a match-day commentator for the club channel.

As an author, Gerard has contributed an essay entitled …And They Gave Us James McGrory to Celtic-Minded Volume 3 ( Argyll Publications) published in September 2009 whilst his first book entitled Celtic-The Supersonic ‘70s'! ( Black & White Publishing) was published in October 2009. He also wrote prolifically for Setanta's CelticTV website between; and is a regular writer for BACKPASS magazine. Gerard co-wrote the Celtic FC production “ The Prince - The Johnny Thomson Story.” that ran in the King's Theatre, Glasgow from 5-10th September 2011 and is currently working jointly on a film script with an independent production company.
