Responsible for all aspects of managing and developing a department of over 40 analytical chemists with a remit to provide bioanalytical support for pre-clinical and clinical regulatory studies in a busy Contract Research Organisation (CRO) with detailed involvement in the following areas:• Pre-clinical/Clinical Bioanalysis (including development, transfer, validation and application of Bioanalytical methods, Report Writing and Review)• Interdisciplinary Work (Clinical Trials, Pre-Clinical Toxicology, Metabolism, Pharmacokinetics, IT Systems Validation)• Management (recruitment, human resource issues, financial, and equipment evaluation/selection)• Business Development (Travel to Customers Laboratories, Presentations, Conferences, contractual negotiations)• Laboratory Facilities (review of practices, design of 2 new laboratory buildings for Bioanalysis)
