I served as President and shareholder until Liveport was sold to Active Networks in October 2019.Liveport provided wireless internet support services to over 600 hotels across Canada and were expanding across the USA with hotels in most states using our services. I managed the business aspects of this enterprise - responsible for accounting, systems integration and product engineering.

I started 101sitehosting.com to allow me to work from home and to create a recurring revenue service with a real perceived value. Our company has grown to host 1000's of websites for over 10,000 clients from around the world and continues to grow on a nice gentle growth curve - very manageable and predictable. I have been blessed by this one.

Expiry.com is one of the oldest domain name registrars in Canada, operating continually since early 1999. We had the opportunity to purchase Expiry.com and continue that legacy of web hosting and domain name services as a natural expansion of our services in the business web hosting arena.

Created a Point of Sale and Inventory management system for Garden Centers. Sold throughout North America to over 200 garden centers. Quickly rose through the ranks at trade shows and became the one to beat. We were twice offered to be bought out. First by a Paul Allen funded company called Etera which was shut down due to lack of financing shortly after we had signed an agreement to sell and secondly by Monrovia a year later. That deal fell through on September 11th 2001 - the day when skyscrapers in New York trumbled and our suitors switched from purchase mode to survival mode recognizing that war was imminent.Two years later Windward Software, Penticton BC bought the company and merged our sales, support and development team with theirs. I partnered with a genious programmer named Stuart Wyatt to create the first Digital Rights Management software that was used by McAfee, Microsoft, WallData and Corel. It wasn't long (months) before big money showed up at our door and we started a new company called Commerce Direct International to properly market this incredible product. We had everything under control with loads of cash in the bank to fund growth, hired some talented people and pressed forward. Shortly after that our large financiers such as Morgan Stanley suggested we hire a new high profile CEO to replace me. We did and it only took the bum 8 months to bankrupt us. Apparently he was sent in by our competition to kill our company.

I was founder and president of the Okanagan Valley's largest computer retailer during those early years of the IBM PC and Apple Macintosh.Everything was going well until margins dropped as every big box store in the world decided to sell computers at a discount in Kelowna. I quickly adjusted and shrank from 25 employees to 3 while I looked around for new opportunities. It wasn't long before I was the single source supplier of POS systems to Play It Again Sports stores across North America. I eventually merged the assets of Insight Computers into Commerce Direct International.
