Created high performance, ACID compliant storage engine for MySQL which acted as a drop in replacement for InnoDB. Implemented MySQL handlerton API which allowed full transactional support and enhanced optimization capabilities. Designed and implemented real time cardinality calculation for underlying B-TREE allowing for more accurate optimizer query hints (cardinality, range estimates, scan time). Created test infrastructure to benchmark performance and compliance using industry standard test suites: sysbench, dbt2, dbt3, iibench, RQG (randgen), MTR (mysql-test-run).

Developed a Google "one number voice" like web application with added social media capabilities using GWT, Spring, and Hibernate. Developed text messaging system that interfaced with Facebook, Google, Skype, and Yahoo. Collected contact information using RESTful OAUTH API across services such as Facebook, Google, Skype, and Twitter. Company rebooted into Deep Information Sciences after experimentation with database technologies proved beneficial and potentially more profitable.

Via acquisition of Virtual Iron. Responsible for transitioning Virtual Iron product line to Oracle Virtualization Machine Manager.

Developed management software for server virtualization, supporting provisioning of networks and storage (iSCSI, Fibre Channel). Implemented Java Swing user interface and back-end services to model both physical and virtual machines. Co-ordinated live migration of virtual machines across physical hardware.

Responsible for designing and building scalable Struts web applications enabling large scale carriers to provide Wi-Fi login and billing services to consumers. Developed communication layer from web to business tier using low level TCP sockets. Implemented SOAP services to provide consumer session reports. Worked closely with several large scale customers and design specialists to create internationalized presentation layer utilizing JSP and DHTML. Led development effort to create Command Line Interface (CLI) for an embedded system from the ground up, including complete auto-generation of command set, runtime parser with command completion, context sensitive help and modal syntax (“CISCO-like" CLI). Generated Struts based web management application including charting, event log monitoring applet, and third party LDAP Browser support using Java WebStart.Implemented system wide backup mechanism allowing IT personnel to archive critical information including session records stored in MySQL database, billing reports, and system configuration. Web based front end enabled IT to schedule backups, select content, and automatically transfer data when completed. Created self installing product CD, using Debian PGI installer tools, which enabled manufacturing to completely automate Linux installation, software RAID setup, LILO boot loader configuration, and installation of latest OS packages and product releases.

Developed Java based QVPN Builder application responsible for creating VPNs of various configurations across multiple routers. Client/server application used ObjectStore database for storage and handled device communication via SNMPv3 using AdventNet API. Designed and implemented a generic device management tool which generated Swing based user interfaces and data storage schemas derived from MIB information.

Designed and implemented prototype of Java-based device management framework to replace legacy C++ application for managing any standards-based SNMP devices. Implemented a Java wrapper around C++ libraries through the use of Java Native Interface to maintain compatibility with third party libraries.Designed and implemented network management applications that would integrate into third party network management platforms. Specified, designed and implemented a network wide TFTP download application for Cabletron hardware. Implemented a database adapter to interface with various third party network management platforms.
