The Tour de Gem is a cycling event designed to present regional nonprofits an exciting new fundraising opportunity that requires minimal staff time. The inaugural Tour de Gem in 2018 provided the infrastructure for 47 nonprofits to raise almost $70,000 with 220 riders.Tour de Gem - Cycling, Charities, CommunityThe goal for the 2019 Tour de Gem is to have 1,000 riders raise $360,000+ in donations to support 50+ nonprofits.The mission of the Tour de Gem is to foster a sense of community, history, pride and healthy living through cycling across economic, cultural, religious, geographical, demographic and political differences while creating a mechanism for fundraising for local charities. To accomplish this by being “all inclusive” in our approach to organizing and implementing the ride.

Member of the Workforce Development Committee, focused on bringing new skilled employees to the manufacturing sector. Sunbelt Business Advisors is strongly committed to DRMA and manufacturing in the Greater Dayton Region. In addition to participation on the Workforce Development Committee Sunbelt sponsors a number of events - the DRMA Foundation golf outing, January member meeting, Pub Night, Breakfast with DRMA.

Work with Committee Chair to develop strategies and tactics to increase new membership and retention of existing members.Chair of the Business Ethics Committee which participates in the Walk the Talk program in the University of Dayton's School of Business. Rotarians serve as moderators for discussions with UD seniors on case studies focused on ethical and moral challenges faced by business leaders.Member of the DECA (Dayton Early College Academy) Committee. The goal of the Committee is to assist DECA administrators in the development of programs to show students a path to college and post-graduate success by focusing on critical thinking and interpersonal communications skills and personal "brand" development.

The goal of JDRF is to fund research to find a cure to Type 1 diabetes. The Ride to Cure Diabetes is a fundraising effort that in 2018 alone raised over $5M, with over $550,000 raised by the 120 Team Southwest Ohio Riders. I'm honored to have participated in 13 JDRF Rides at various national locations.We are always looking for new Riders to help us achieve our goal. Throught the Building on Compassion Campaign, St. Leonard recently added two new facilities to the campus - the Franciscan Center, a wellness center and San Damiano Center, a new residence for assisted living and memory support.
