Mission Performance is a Leadership Development consultancy, which operates globally as a partnership of experienced leaders from diverse backgrounds. Employed to utilise my experience of corporate turnarounds and performance optimisation. Mission works with client leadership teams on briefs to drive performance, manage change, improve safety, morale and wellbeing. Selected client projects and achievements: Middle Eastern Oil Company – Improved safety by reducing human error. Leading UK law firm – Crafted corporate strategy with Board and Partners, leading to doubling the size of the firm by 2020. Global Defence Contractor– Leadership programmes for three ‘layers’ were key to strategic objectives of reduced time-to-market, increased international sales, and culture change. US Oil & Gas Provider – Leadership, team development, and communications programmes ensured success of new organisation structure. Global Insurer – Developed and delivered award-winning future executive leaders programme.Client Secondments and achievements: 2020/2 – Assigned as Director Business Transformation to a 700 strong UK Telecommunications Infrastructure provider. Changed organisation structure. Optimised four core processes: Revenue recovery; labour productivity; defect elimination and management; and work planning.  2017/8 – Seratio Ltd and CCEG, a provider and a leading thinktank on Social Value measurement. Developed an Ethical/Sustainable Leadership Model 2014/5 – Longbow Ltd. Developed a Personal Transformation programme.

The Company is a leading specialist in historic building conservation. Achievements: Advised the MD and Management Team on the business turnaround aimed at an MBO. Helped the company achieve an 8-fold increase in revenues while attaining strong margins. Guided the team through the buy-out in 2023.

Key assignments and achievements 2008/9 – Transformation Business Unit Lead. Led a 2-year transformation of a 15,000 staff $ 4.7 Billion turnover European oil & gas provider, with a team of over 600 people. Delivered changes in all aspects including a new organisation, investment planning, performance management, HSE and all operational and support processes. Delivered benefits of $ 150 million. Turned Business Unit from $ 3 Mio loss to a $9 Mio profit 2005/6 – Shell Manufacturing Services Nigeria - Co-led a team on a $100 million 4-year corporate transformation project of a major integrated oil & gas provider 2010/11 – Change Advisor to the turnaround team and Senior Management Team of a ‎€7.9 Bn turnover Mediterranean oil & gas provider 2004/5 – As member of a global team investigating unplanned production shutdowns, introduced ‘systems thinking’ to uncover organisational root causes for these shutdowns.

The company was an early mover in e-commerce providing sourcing solutions to retailers. Key achievements: Co-developed client teams which delivered >$250 million in savings to clients; Developed commercial partnerships with the two largest global e-Commerce exchanges. Internationalised and trebled client base.

Led a global team of 30 senior managers in the creation of a new 900 strong global risk management division with £65 Million turnover. Achievements: Oversaw design and implementation planning of all aspects of this new division, including new organisation, operations-, business- and commercial processes, IT systems and HR. After IPO in July 1999, share price doubled from $17.38 to $32.38.

Achievements: Developed strategy and led the implementation of a new digital service across Cable, Satellite, and Online broadcasting platforms. As member of a wider strategy team, contributed to the £2 billion pa 5-year strategy for BBC Broadcast’s TV and radio stations.

Achievements: as Team Manager on 12 Business Analysis Projects across Europe in various sectors achieved an 80% conversion rate (sales) into implementation projects. Change Manager on implementation project for IT division of a large Dutch bank

Fulfilled various operational and managerial roles including Operations Officer, Head of Training and Company 2nd in Command. Awarded Two General’s Commendations for outstanding performance.
