CurrentServe as Knowledge Management (KM) Officer (KMO) for NSHQ, a NATO organization focused on building special operations forces (SOF) for 29 NATO alliance members and associated partner nations. KM at NSHQ is supported by a combination of dedicated KM staff, a federation of KM liaisons throughout the organization, and contracted support. * Develop the procedures to collect, organize, control, disseminate, use, safeguard, and dispose of information.* Provide KM expertise to technical infrastructure, information architecture, and governing NSHQ policies.* Identify and provide tools.* Synchronize NSHQ practices with those of NATO, USA, and BICES KM communities.* Promote interoperability of Special Operations Forces (SOF) information across NATO allies and partner nations.* Establish and maintain a community of KM practitioners to include running the NSHQ KM Working Group.* Develop the procedures with respect to collecting, organizing, controlling, disseminating, using, safeguarding, and disposing of information.* Identify and provide the tools and their employment in support of IKM.* Identify gaps in existing tools to meet the flow and exchange of information; identify and evaluate initiatives to fill those gaps.* Develop and execute training programs related to IKM NSHQ business processes.* Provide guidance and direct support for the creation and storage of information within portals* Identify and describe the flow and exchange of information.* Design, collaborate, and oversee delivery of technical solutions to information needs.* Create and update internal IKM policies* Design processes that support the retention and transfer of knowledge within the NSHQ staff* Establish policies and create processes for collection, retention, and sharing of knowledge* Review existing processes and enable continuous process improvement initiatives* Review end user requirements and generate requirements statements.* Participate in the NSHQ Change Advisory Board.
