About Gerry Lang
Gerry Lang, is a Chicago based Native American artist, enrolled in the Chowanoke Nation, and of Meherrin, and mixed European and African decent. He is a Visual Storyteller, Ritual Elder and educator. Gerry’s studio work is devoted to “Quantum Memory” images, and terra cotta and porcelain “Dream” and “Prayer Bowls.” It’s all centered around identity and re-remembering his Native heritage, and examining what that means in contemporary society.
