I have always been fascinated with Information Technology and started programming when I was an engineer back in the mid 80’s. I love a challenge and I got a lot of satisfaction and sense of achievement by the fact you can make people’s lives easier and add value by creating software that could automate laborious time-consuming tasks.Graduate in Structural Engineering I moved over to IT in the early 90’s working primarily on automating Computer Aided Design projects and integrating them to web-based applications and back-end databases for Morgan Stanley’s Real Estate Division saving them extensive time and money.I currently work for Holborn Assets, a leading global financial services company with offices in 16 countries, as their Chief Information Officer. During the time I have been with Holborn the company has grown extensively. I oversee all aspects of their IT systems and communications, including strategy, development projects, networks, cloud computing, remote working, support, budgets, staffing and security. I was responsible for the digitization of the company by replacing a variety of legacy systems to a fully integrated global CRM solution based on Microsoft Dynamics. This project was delivered successfully on time and on budget. As it is highly regulated industry, I have developed a special interest in cybersecurity and disaster recovery and am keen to extend my stills in this area and I am aware of the threats we face.
