Beginning by collecting corporate debt, IDT Carmel began purchasing and collecting million-dollar portfolios of credit card within 6 months. Responsibilities included hiring and training collectors, skip-tracers, and clerical personnel. Collectors and skip-tracers were hired without any experience whatsoever; therefore I designed and taught a unique and intense 2 week course consisting of business and collection laws and procedures, telephone collections techniques, negotiation techniques, structuring settlements, letter writing skills, and collections software/data processing skills. Also functioned as the legal department manager and compliance officer.After IDT Carmel merged with a collections company (physically located in the U.S., I was transferred to IDT's legal process outsourcing subsidiary. At Power-Legal, I was engaged as a litigation support specialist and document review/electronic discovery manager.
