As a member of the NEW Employment Services team at Newcomer Women's Services Toronto, the Youth Workforce Recruitment Specialist will be expected to provide both individual and group support to youth 15 to 29 years of age with a client - centred approach that respects the self-determination of youth program participants. The Youth Workforce Recruitment Specialist will provide one to one and group support expertise through comprehensive assessment, meetings, planning, goal/plan implementation, facilitation of workshops, and progress evaluation of 40+ youth.This position requires to meet with youth individually or in groups in the community on an outreach basis, attending community events, and responding to youth crisis during work hours. The outreach nature of this position requires excellent flexibility and adaptability.The Youth Workforce Recruitment Specialist will work closely with the NEW Employment team and community resources to assist clients to develop interpendence towards their personal goals and needs. The Youth Workforce Recruitment Specialist will conduct outreach to employers to identify opportunities to promote job matching and/or job placement support.

The Youth Outreach Worker works closely with the NEW Employment Team and community partners to assist clients to develop essential life and professional skills so that they can work towards their personal goals and needs. The Youth Outreach Worker connects with Youth online, through a work mobile and onsite in the community. As a Youth Outreach Worker must facilitate and coordinate workshops and services in partnership with other community support services and within the NEW Employment Team. Organizing outreach rides in the evening While maintaining an ongoing caseload of 25-60 youth at various stages of support. Document daily logs/monthly and quarterly follow client progress reports to maintain accurate and complete case files for each client.

As a Volunteer Program Assistant at The School for Entrepreneurs (SSE) Ontario, I was responsible to provide support to clients, staff and guest faciilatators by helping book spaces, help organze room and equipment for preseentation. I was responsible for collecting and handling money that was provided by group participants on a weekly basis. Provided basic IT support. The Volunteer Program Assistant, I performed a variety of tasks depending on projectdeadlines in the organization office. This will include answering phones and otheradministrative tasks as assigned by the Program Director. I had to record accurate data and provide information to campaign manager on a daily basis.

The community kitchen, was also a fully operative restaraunt. I had managed a team of eight staff routinely. We would cater for local community programs, large religious/group events, and for high end clientele such as; The King of Ghana. As a Ryerson Univeristy Liason Specialist for the Ryerson University Bridging program. This was a 12 week program geared for people who have difficulty accessing to post secondary education. Conduct interviews and intakes with program participants. Recruited volunteer tutors. Reported to the program manager and Ryerson University staff.
