As a member of the NEW Employment Services team at Newcomer Women's Services Toronto, the Youth Workforce Recruitment Specialist will be expected to provide both individual and group support to youth 15 to 29 years of age with a client - centred approach that respects the self-determination of youth program participants. The Youth Workforce Recruitment Specialist will provide one to one and group support expertise through comprehensive assessment, meetings, planning, goal/plan implementation, facilitation of workshops, and progress evaluation of 40+ youth.This position requires to meet with youth individually or in groups in the community on an outreach basis, attending community events, and responding to youth crisis during work hours. The outreach nature of this position requires excellent flexibility and adaptability.The Youth Workforce Recruitment Specialist will work closely with the NEW Employment team and community resources to assist clients to develop interpendence towards their personal goals and needs. The Youth Workforce Recruitment Specialist will conduct outreach to employers to identify opportunities to promote job matching and/or job placement support.

The community kitchen, was also a fully operative restaraunt. I had managed a team of eight staff routinely. We would cater for local community programs, large religious/group events, and for high end clientele such as; The King of Ghana. As a Ryerson Univeristy Liason Specialist for the Ryerson University Bridging program. This was a 12 week program geared for people who have difficulty accessing to post secondary education. Conduct interviews and intakes with program participants. Recruited volunteer tutors. Reported to the program manager and Ryerson University staff.
