Hello! My name is Gerson Hulbert, I am a Product Designer and Project Manager with international experience working with furniture, interiors and yachts in Europe, Asia and South America. A multi-layered designer who can easily work across markets and cultures with a focus on developing small to mid-sized teams, working well with designers and professionals at all levels of hierarchy.During my career I studied in Italy and Brazil, doing a master's degree in Strategic Design at Politecnico di Milano and a postgraduate degree in Emotional Design at PUC-PR in Brazil. I completed my Bachelor’s at Federal Institute of Santa Catarina in Product Design, with more than 10 years of experience developing products based on human needs.I worked for 3 years as a Designer at the Schaefer Yachts shipyard, in Florianópolis, Brazil, a company that produces boats and yachts from 26 to 80 feet. I was responsible for all interior projects, choice of materials and finishes. I was also responsible for projects with other design offices such as Pininfarina studio in Italy and Bernardes Arquitetura in Brazil. Also in the same market I worked for 4 years as Project and Product Coordinator at Sessa Marine Brazil, a company that manufactures yachts of the Italian brand Sessa Marine, a well established shipyard in Italy with more than 50 years in the market.For both Shipyards, in addition to managing, I helped the design team organizing projects from start to finish, including concept development, ideation, 3D modeling, 3D renderings, ergonomics study, CMF and strategic design inputs.I also had experience designing office furniture for Flexiv, a company in Curitiba, furniture and products for the design studio Modoloco in Italy, high end kitchens for Würfel Küche in India and furniture projects for Dovetail Furniture also in India, using strategic tools with a user experience design vision to help companies achieve new goals in their market segments.For 2 consecutive years (2014 and 2015) I had projects together with a design team exhibited at the biggest design fair in the world, Milano Design Week.
