Gerson Scheidweiler is the Director of Strategy & Social Impact at Wud Group and serves as the Executive Advisor for LetsStopAIDS and the SMJR Foundation. He holds a Ph.D. in Communication Policies, a Master's in Communication Theories, both from the University of Brasilia (Brazil), and a Bachelor's in Social Communication with a focus on Advertising and Propaganda from Positivo University (Brazil). In 2024, Gerson completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Equity Studies at York University (Canada), where his research focused on HIV/STI prevention strategies within humanitarian responses. From 2010 to 2022, he served as Special Advisor to the Secretariat of Women at the Brazilian Parliament and was appointed the first Research Director of the National Observatory of Women in Politics (ONMP). Additionally, Gerson has taught Business Administration, Communication, and Social Media Strategies at the Catholic University of Brasilia (2013-2019) and Migration and Human Rights at York University (2022-2024).
