During my time at Dega Systems, I co-founded the company and played a crucial role in its growth. We built the business from scratch, achieving an annual recurring revenue of over $2 million and a valuation exceeding $3 million.As an owner operator, I had the unique opportunity to work in various capacities, beginning as a Help Desk and Field Technician and eventually taking on the responsibility of overseeing Sales and Finance. This early start allowed me to gain firsthand experience and a deep understanding of the company's inner workings. It provided me with valuable insights that empowered me to make well-informed decisions at all levels of the organization.At Dega Systems, I spearheaded new business strategies and introduced innovative offerings. I pioneered an in-house Backup and Disaster Recovery Solution, generating a return of over 200%. We also launched DegaOffice, an all-in-one bundle that provided clients with hardware, software, and services at a per-user price.One of the highlights of my journey was the groundbreaking launch of DegaVoice, an integrated voice offering that achieved an impressive return on revenue of over 300%. During my time at Cap Gemini Ernst and Young, I was part of a dynamic team that built the online presence for several Fortune 500 companies. As a Senior Consultant in the DareStep division, I was responsible for developing and launching new websites for clients such as Farmers Insurance and McGraw Hill.Working closely with Art Directors and Lead Designers, I brought their beautiful designs to life by developing user-friendly, visually stunning web pages. I was also instrumental in creating style guides, wireframes, and a page template standard that ensured consistency and usability across all of our projects.As the team expanded, I drew on my past experiences to help implement standardized tools and configurations for desktops, while also finding creative solutions to bridge the gap between our team's Apple users and the Gateway Laptops and Lotus Notes that were in use.My time at Cap Gemini was a pivotal experience that taught me the importance of collaboration, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence. My time at Open Society Institute / Soros Foundations a global non-profit foundation was key to my development and growth in understanding how technology empowers the staff at a small/mid-size organization. Fresh from college the busy environment and experience with (at the time) cutting edge technology helped me develop the skills I needed to understand that technology in a busy organization is only as good as how well it's being managed, tracked and evolved.My initial responsibilities as Senior Technical Engineer included providing all the company's Apple Mac Support including application support for Quark, Photoshop and Illustrator, I was also part of the Windows Support Team and started the organization's transition to a Windows Active Directory network and away from Novell Networks.After building the organization's first I.T. ticketing system on Coldfusion and MS Access as a side project to my other responsibilities - I was promoted to Intranet Development Coordinator and was asked to build the organization's first intranet along with more web based applications that would benefit other departments. I went on to build applications such as on Online Staff Directory, Class Training Registration System, Purchase Request System, Conference Room Reservation System as well a Content Management System to publish Company Policies. I was responsible for coding, design and on-going support of the Intranet and all its applications.
