In the end of 2012, I joined the European divisional team supporting all our European countries to implement and run the standard Securitas application landscape. Where all countries were running different platforms for many years, we can now see in 2023 that our SOCs are very standardized which allows for great experience sharing between the different SOC IT colleagues in the countries. Another great benefit of the standardization is noticed as well by our global customers, allowing easier and faster on-boarding of services in the different countries. As of 2016, I supported the design, setup and roll-out of centralized SOC infrastructure services in our European Corporate Cloud; delivering modern, redundant, digital security focused and EN SOC compliant services from different private data centers; allowing our SOC IT colleagues in the countries to focus even more on the applications and services delivered and requested by our customers.

Great opportunity to participate with 16 other Securitas colleagues in this management training. Great chance to understand from global management insights in the company roadmap and goals; as well giving me the chance to enrich my leadership and personal skills.

In 2008, I moved into a supervisor role for the SOC IT departments of Belgium and Netherlands and worked half of the week in Belgium and the other half in Netherlands. During the period 2008 - 2012, we have been working on renewing the infrastructure in both countries, making sure we were ready to address our customer needs for the future. During this period, we also migrated to standard SOC applications as part of the journey in Securitas to standardize our platforms in all countries.

I have started my Securitas journey in 2004 in Belgium as a Functional Analyst and part of the Securitas Operation Center (SOC) IT department. My challenge consisted of listening and translating the functional wishes of my colleagues in and around the SOC into requirements for the infrastructure and development teams. During the period 2006 - 2008, I enjoyed the great opportunity of using my knowledge and experience to support my Swedish colleagues in their project to standardize on applications in the SOC.
