Responsible for the development, implementation, execution, and administration of the Expeditors’ Ground Network Services (GNS)Expeditors Ground Network Services (GNS) offers a pan-European network connecting all major markets via centralized Air, Ocean and Road gateways servicing Expeditors branches. Our long-term procurement strategy and fixed operating schedules offer customers both the reliability and flexibility needed to manage their supply chains. Our Ground Network Services infrastructure ensures we are agile to market disruptions and imbalances, enabling flexible routing options.Key responsibilities:• Responsible for all European Gateways Operation and in-/outbound linehaul as well its’ performance• Support 7 Gateway Managers in development and operations at the regional level• Strategic analysis of the ground transportation marketplace, competitors, suppliers, and trends• Supporting and maintaining ground linehaul routings, schedules and network development• Supporting linehual procurement, service provider contracts and statements of work• Responsible for establishing linehaul budgets and strategies to attain targets• Responsible for ground network service performance, key performance indicators and ad hoc capacity • Advise and communicate linehaul issues and potential opportunities to Expeditors management• Create and maintain internal costing models for cross product development

Responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and communicating all operating schedules to support Expeditors' ground network. Key responsibilities:• Maintain all trucking routes and rates for all line haul activity• Work with European office's and product management for timely network updates, and communication of network changes.• Continuous process improvements• Identification and evaluation of service providers to support network requirements• Support linehaul procurement and RFQ process• Monitor capacity and daily demand on all scheduled routes. Develop and implement contingencies, for overload situations• Support service provider A/P requirements• Assisting in interviewing and hiring for GNS Europe• Training and supervising the GNS team in Amsterdam

This position supports line haul operations to and from designated branches to and from the regional gateway and origin branches through the execution of the truck and sortation schedules and managing the capacity requirements of the network.Main responsibilities are:• Assist in developing and implementing best practices for load utilization and cargo integrity• Train and develop direct reports• Lead a team of 10• Identifying potential capacity constraints in the scheduled network• Assist in enacting contingencies to expand ad hoc capacity as needed, and arranging reroutes and additional trucks as necessary• Supervise staff in monitoring work flows and all Export and Import consolidation processing activities
