The program is all about delivering new value to clients, partners and the bank.Context innovation program:Rabobank’s stated mission is to feed the world sustainably. The combination of a rapidly growing population, massive amounts of food waste, and the detrimental environmental impacts of food production are all necessitating transformation and innovation within the food supply chain. The system as well as the bank need to change, evolve and become more efficient if we are to address the food demands of the world and the ever-changing consumer. • Rabobank
    Program Director Bancassurance
    Rabobank Oct 2014 - Sep 2015
    Utrecht Area, Netherlands
Responsible for the development of a new Rabobank/Achmea-Interpolis profitable and customer focused bancassurance strategy for the future. The program delivered a strategic advice on how to continue with and improve bancassurance, including a business case and high level implementation program. The strategy proposed was approved by the boards of Rabobank and Achmea and aligned with the local Rabobank-branches.Context program:Rabobank has been selling insurance products and solutions for many years (mainly Achmea-Interpolis). However, the bancassurance business was heavily loss making for Rabobank and the customer proposition was no longer in line with market requirements and market developments. By assessing the business issues and opportunities from both a market, customer, bank and insurer point of view, we developed a new bancassurance strategy including implementation program for Rabobank, in close cooperation with Achmea, to make the insurance business profitable again.

Underlying strategy was to copy ONLIA to other and new markets.Context role/responsibilities:Achmea International consisted of several international insurance companies with very traditional distribution channels and market approaches (a.o. in Greece, Turkey, Russia, Slovakia and Ireland). Developing the online/digital distribution channel in these markets was the strategic direction for future growth and for maintaining the local market positions and market shares.
