In this role I am responsible for the successful integration within Arcadis of the recent acquisition of Arcadis; IBI-Group.

Netherlands

In this role I was as statutory Director responsible for the result and continuity of the company. I reported to an Supervisory Board that act on behave of the (sole) shareholders Arcadis global. Arcadis The Netherlands (ANL) is a company with a yearly revenue of 300 million (euro's) and 2500 motivated employees.

Amersfoort

In this role I was (p/l) responsible for a division with around 750 employees and a yearly revenue of around 90 million (euro's). I was also a member of the Managementteam of Arcadis The Netherlands (ANL) and co-responsible for the strategy and result of ANL.

From my start with Arcadis I have been active as a projectleader/manager. Starting with small projects but eventually growing to large project with international character and involving large number (>100) of people. Doing projects for clients has and always will be my passion, because it is result driven, never the same and always involves working with other people.

Bemmel

AssetRail is active in the Market of maintenance of rail infrastructure. Founded ten year ago AssetRail has grown substantially in the last couple of years. Around 25% of the heavy railinfrastucture in The Netherlands is maintained by AssetRail. Success behind this growth is the state of the art way of predictive maintenance based on data analytics. AssetRail was the first company that introduced this in this Market. AssetRail is a joint venture of Dura Vermeer (contractor) and Arcadis. On behave of Arcadis I act as shareholder. In that role the management not only reports to me, but I also actively support the management in the development of the strategy and vision of the company.

Appingedam

The Centrum voor Veilig Wonen (or Centre of Safe Living in English) is responsible for the reinforcements of buildings needed in the area in The Netherlands (Groningen) that is suffering from earthquakes as a result from gas exploration. The CvW has around 250 highly motivated employees that do their best every day to help the people of Groningen. The CvW does this on behave of the National Coördinator Groningen and the NAM. CvW is a joint venture of Arcadis and CED. On behave of Arcadis I act as shareholder. In that capacity I not only have the management of the CvW report to me but also actively help the management in their journey in this emotional and highly politically driven project.

Right now I am again (since May first 2018) responsible for our activities in Poland. I act now is a SB type of role. Operations in Poland are lead by a management team that reports to me. In the years 2013-2015 I had a more active role in Poland, being responsible for the improvement of the results. In those years new management has been installed, improved client focus established and project management was raised to a higher level.
