I'm managing a team that collects, creates and improves data for the training of the statistical machine translation engines. This data acquisition is organized from our office in Cluj (Romania), but we work with freelance translators and translation companies from all around the world. What we do:- Collecting & cleaning monolingual, universe and parallel data (including translation memories)- Setup and execution of scientific test; consolidation of the data and collected metadata- Evaluations (Sentence Evaluations, Document Evaluations, Translation Productivity Tests...)- Development and testing of linguistic tools - Annotating linguistic networks - Very large volume post-editing of MT output- Coordination of the jobs of hundreds of professional translators on a daily basis- 24/7 project management with a team of remote, freelance project coordinators- Statistical analysis, creation of infographics, server based reporting- Insource and outsource of software development (often based on SQLite and XML)Customers served: TravelPort, GTA, TripAdvisor, Dell, Intel, Darpa...

Note: This is a 60% of a full time position.We're developing an ERP training program and implementing it over the 3 years of different programs of economics department of the KHLeuven, the Leuven University College.
