I also hold a Postgraduate Diploma in International Tax from the University of Johannesburg and I am registered as a General Tax Practitioner with the South African Revenue Authority.I have over 20 years work experience in different industries that include financial services (banking), education, mining and logistics. My areas of expertise include the following:• Leadership and management of the finance function including human capital management and resourcing• Development of the organisation’s financial strategy and implementation of the same.• Budgeting and managing resources in line with the strategy• Prepare monthly management reports and annual financial statements according to International Financial Reporting Standards • Managing the risk profile of the Company, including maintaining and updating of standard operating procedures (“SOP’s”)• Managing the annual audit process and responsible for Corporate governance and control • Payroll management including preparing company monthly statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, etc.) and submit to relevant authorities in good time.
