As a Biologist raised on a dairy farm, I obtained my PhD on Skin Tissue Engineering (the development of artificial skin to treat patients with e.g. burns) at the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre department of Biochemistry and worked as a postdoc at the department of Physiology. At Intracare, we develop practical innovations for a sustainable agriculture, where I started in the Product Development & Regulatory Affairs team with a clinical trial on a veterinary medicinal non-antibiotic aerosol spray for the treatment of a hoof disease in dairy cattle. Together we realized a fully operational GMP pharma quality system and GMP pharma production location from scratch and I was responsible for the set-up of our micobiological laboratory. As R&D manager I also worked on the development and registration of a non-antibiotic medicine against swine dysentery and horticulture applications of our products and the development and investigation of pesticide-free biostimulants.
