CurrentKey ResponsibilitiesThe Youth Empowerment and Protection personnel in coordination and cooperation with supporting staff is expected to give a substantial contribution to:• Technical guidance and management of protection project as required in the project documents and protection programming• Capacity building of senior staff, beneficiaries, duty bearers and other stalk holders• Developing coordinating and/or conducting awareness raising training and dialogue sessions in Gambella peace building and conflict managementAdditional tasks and responsibilities must be performed:• Overall lead and manage the daily activities of the Vocational Training Centers and Youth Empowerment Centers• Supervise and coordinate social workers, and role models.• Establish and supervise implementation of at risk youth database (IMS)• Develop and ensure compliance with case management standards, SOP’s and guidelines• Conduct assessment and mapping, identify protection needs and assets vulnerabilities• Collaborate with relevant partners and the Protection Team Leader and Life Skills Specialist to develop and maintain appropriate referral mechanisms at risk youth.• Coordinate with Life Skill Specialist to develop and contribute to the development of training materials and/or curricula for Life Skills• Facilitate training and facilitate the dissemination of awareness information to refugee and engage with refugee and camp structure and groups• Promote mainstreaming of youth concerns and other protection concerns in all humanitarian interventions.• Liaising with government officials and camp structures on DRC’s behalf.• Attending and contributing to relevant coordination mechanisms as directed.• Undertaking monitoring and evaluation of DRC protection activities as directed.
