Responsible for cultivating innovativeness in DCA humanitarian response introducing and adapting new and progressive ways of working and capacity building of the DCA humanitarian team.Actively take part in all humanitarian situations need assessment created due to natural or manmade crise in refuges, IDPs, hosting community setups and other studies as input for concept note and proposal development.Regularly assess humanitarian situations and trends as well as new and innovative working strategies.Provide technical support in baseline and end line surveys.Support and organize and deliver need-based training for DCA and partners staff on cash programme and humanitarian intervention.Provide technical support to put in place a realistic M&E system for each humanitarian projects.Provide technical backstopping for the coordinators and the field officers and market facilitators closely follow up the implementation of the humanitarian projects in DCA’s operational areas.Conduct regular project technical visit and provide technical support for frontline staff for effective implementation of projects in accordance with Detail Implementation Plan.Support and ensure all humanitarian projects are implemented in accordance with donor requirements and as per the quality standard and agreed in the detail implementation plan.

Liberia

The function of this job is to lead the management of KFW funded project in the South East Liberia. The project has a consortium programming (implemented by Welthungerhilfe as leading agency, Oxfam and mL) with a total cost of 15 million Euro, which is to execute in four years' duration (2018-2021). Around 60,000 individuals will be supported through Agriculture, WASH, Infrastructure and Women Empowerment Interventions.Carried out the project(s) according to the rules and standards of the co-financing donors and Welthungerhilfe standards for the implementation of projects.Ensured that all relevant project support was in place (monitoring, logistics, HR and finance administration)Was responsible for modifying and continuing project planning and the project budgetDeveloped needs-based and impact-oriented project planning in the context of the ongoing projects in line with Welthungerhilfe and country strategySupported the identification of co-financing opportunities to be pursued and ensured the timely development of successful project proposals in line with the relevant donor regulations and strategiesEstablished good working relationships with donors and other stakeholders in country for emergency, rehabilitation and development programs in coordination with the country officeReported to the Country Director on the progress of the projects and all risks associated with the project workManaged and recruited staff according to the Welthungerhilfe leadership principles, staff policies and strategyWas responsible for Project Office Management to ensure WHH polices and their adoption to local conditionsWas responsible for the establishment and adherence to the project security management system in accordance with the global security policy and guidelines of WHHRepresented WHH with relevant national, and international stakeholders and partners in coordination with the county office and actively participated in the country management forum

Liberia

Technically advising, the agriculture/livelihoods component of the two ongoing programs of WHH in South East Liberia, ie the Reintegration and Recovery Program & EU- Liberia Agriculture Program . The programs have been contributing to the agriculture productivity and value chain development, Socio- Economic recovery, and enhancing the peace process in Liberia. The major activities of the programs are:- Mixed vegetable and fruits and root/tubers production by small holder farmers – group/cooperative approach  Market linkages and Value adding in cassava production and processing technology  Low land rice production- SRI technology  Household Backyard garden- vegetables production for household nutrition improvement  Promotion of Village Saving and Loan Association and Food security and nutrition awareness through radio talk/message Putting in place program sustainability and exit strategy mechanism Ensuring quality capacity development/capacity building support provided to implementing partners (Local NGOs) and other stakeholders in project execution. Moreover, I am responsible for coordinating the field office program activities and overall administration/finance/ logistic and security management.

Sierra Leone

I managed a project in mitigating the impact of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) on the most vulnerable households through an integrated food and nutrition security intervention in the of Moyamba, Sierra Leone. The area of interventions of the program were: Unconditional cash transfer  Vegetable cultivation and marketing Training (good agricultural practices and FFS approach) Survey (baseline, Pre and Post Distribution Monitoring) and impact evaluation  Market monitoring and Analysis  Nutrition awareness and training Specifically, I accomplished the following responsibility/tasks as a program manager for the mission:  Contribute to deliberations on strategy and positioning of the FSL department (perform analysis of humanitarian situation in respect to food security and livelihoods conditions of the operation area) Identify target community needs and contribute to project elaboration and proposal development for interventions Set up, implement and report the progress of FSL project in Moyamba  Lead and work to sustain the organization capacity to develop, use and improve competencies of program staffs/employees Contribute to have quality, accountability and measuring the impact of the ongoing FSL project and ensure its sustainability Participate in the coordination, representation and partnership of ACF at field office/ level in FSL area of interventions Supervise and Manage the FSL team ( 27 staffs were under me)  Contribute to capitalization and technical development of FSL activities implemented by the organization for lesson learning

Delanta Dawnt District, North Wollo- Amhara Region, Ethiopia
