Project Manager, Virtualisation & Disaster Recovery• Created a Business Case for virtualisation• Responsible for the transition of the infrastructure away from a physical server environment to a virtual environment based on VMWare, without any service interruptions to the business during normal operating Business Hours• Responsible for the implementation of a Disaster Recovery capability based upon SAN storage replication under a virtual environment• Key achievements include transitioning the infrastructure over a series of 16 weekends, whilst stabilizing and improving performance• Removed over 55 aged and unsupported server systems, reducing the company’s carbon footprint• Reduced number of server suppliers from 6 down to 1, and model generations from 14 down to 4• Cost savings in excess of $500K per annum.

• Brought in as the consulting Project Manager for a new mission critical Front Office CRM and Back Office solution to replace two legacy ERP solutions, each running 50% of the operations all the way out to the P&Ls• Responsible for the entire project planning, scoping of migration strategy, vendor management, transition from old to new during the rollout, change management, eLearning, reporting and classroom training for over 900 users• Successful implementation of the solution for the entire company’s consultancy staff on an aggressive timescale with no blow-out of Debtor Days and no business interruption• Redesigned vendor suggested implementation strategy and architected a low-risk data migration strategy• Rollout and migration was performed over a series of 22 consecutive Saturdays on a branch by branch basis, covering 65 branches across the country, migrating client and candidate data each weekend. Quality checks were in place to trap candidates wandering across branches ahead of the migration plan• All data was de-duplicated and cleansed throughout the rollout. An intense nationwide training and change program ran one week ahead of the branch rollout plan.

• Engaged to project manage and implement a worldwide common CRM sales solution for all 12 Volkswagen IT consultancy subsidiaries across Asia, Europe and the Americas• Liaised with Sales Representatives and Delivery Business Unit Managers during analysis and implementation to prepare them for the changes associated with the new solution and to ensure that the new solution would incorporate direct operational needs• Aligned the in-house Sales methodology to best fit with SAP CRM to avoid unnecessary consultancy expenditure• Restructured the initial project team, halved the initial contingent of SAP consultants and removed unproductive internal resources• Analysed and designed an interface from SAP BW & BPS into an existing global Data Warehouse to provide a common standard and centralised feed of sales KPIs for the company’s Directors• Successfully piloted in Spain and Portugal, the company’s second largest and most complex business operations.

• Project managed and acted as BA for a new CRM solution for Volkswagen’s dealer network• Analysed the functionality of the internal existing legacy system, including all data components and the existing business contract management processes• Ensured that the solution would comply with new European regulatory requirements• Managed the remote Munich based development team• Ensured the database implementation architecture and scalability would support several thousand users• Streamlined several complex business processes to simplify the new solution requirements, which in turn radically reduced implementation time and cost• Implemented an architecture that enabled VW to run the new solution on existing hardware: avoided the need for a major capital investment while meeting scalability requirements by ensuring the solution exploited the performance features of Oracle.

• Project managed a solution to centrally control the logging of customer cases and the dispatch and scheduling of field-engineers to customer sites• Analysed the business processes and designed a best-fit strategy for the solution• Managed all elements of the project, including two external suppliers assigned by the customer• Researched and implemented a cost-effective third-party scheduling component for integration into the solution, which elevated customer service and provided transparency over customer service metrics by centralising all regional dispatchers.

• Managed the replacement of a legacy in-house system which had excessively high maintenance costs with an off-the-shelf product based solution which also improved customer service• Managed all elements of the project: included capturing and analysing user requirements and developing, planning and installing the solution across twelve countries in Europe and the Middle East• Migrated data off the in-branch legacy systems for each country• Managed the pilot implementation on-site in Israel• Achieved the acceptance of a totally new technology and business process solution in an environment resistance to change through close direct association with end users and effective communication.
