As a design associate in 50/53 Architects, I was able learn more about the practice of architecture and I was able to learn its business side. Working here taught me to have great sense of detail and time management. I also learned how to use 3ds Max.The bosses, officemates and other staffs were professional and very accommodating and friendly.

In my second OJT, I worked at Lindenrock Builders Inc. as a site coordinator. I work in their office and I do site inspection/visit 2-3 days a week. In the office, I do as-built plans, its electrical, plumbing and isometric. In site, I do reports of the finished works of day before, the tasks for that day, the materials needed based on level of urgency, and back with the finished works of that day. I also got a chance to do punchlisting.The people in the company are accommodating and professional. They are also willing to teach us OJTs new things. My mentors were very friendly and approachable. I also got to expose myself to work not only with workers of the same field but to others such as electrical, accounting, admin, etc.

My first office work activities include: re-organization of the library, architectural assistance for the Junior and Senior Architects with planning, design, 3D modelling and rendering. I also got a chance to have a site visit in an on-going construction as well as documentation of its progress to update the Senior Architect.Overall, the office and the company is great. They are all accommodating, approachable and willing to teach office works.
