This grant-funded program provides undergraduate Writing Fellows for Writing Intensive (WI) and Writing in the Major (WM) courses throughout the College curriculum. Faculty teaching courses that emphasize writing are invited to select undergraduates who have taken those courses to serve as Writing Fellows. Fellows receive training in writing studies, writing center theory and practice, and tutoring, including certification from the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA).Individual work as a Writing Fellow included working in the basic Playwriting course, assistant teaching with Prof. Rosemary McLaughlin. Additionally, work included meeting with students weekly to discuss their scenes and plays, providing guidance and support, proof reading and editing one-act plays, advising students, and instructing the course when necessary.

NYWIFT is a 501c3 public charity supporting women calling the shots in film, television, and digital media. Expertly provided clerical support to the organization's general operations, programs, and member activities.
