The International Area remains key to hit Cefriel’s continuous growth targets (always achieved till the pandemic), here I successfully developed my accounts, directly managing projects worth 1+M$ in the CPG, Enterprise Services and Utility sectors, mainly in the areas of B2E tools design and BI/Analytics.I’m member of Cefriel faculty and regularly teach classes and facilitate workshops on innovation management.

In Condé Nast I'm personal advisor to the President, involved in innovation projects on magazine circulation, multi-channel strategies and Audience Analytics.I was also advisor for startup / seed phase investments.

After more than one year of part-time engagements as an external consultant I've been directly hired by Condé Nast (http://www.condenast.com), the worldwide leader in luxury and lifestyle magazines, that owns brands such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Glamour, GQ and Wired.- Role: Reporting directly to the President, I scout opportunities mainly related to digital innovations (mobile marketing, service platforms…), draft project proposals with quantitative evaluations and business cases/plans. Beside this I’m responsible for the post-acquisition integration of a leading food-related Italian magazine, including the total re-design of its digital offering.- Specific Knowledge: Digital Media Sector, Digital Marketing and Advertising, content monetization.

CEFRIEL (http://www.cefriel.com) is a boutique consultancy focussed on digital innovation.- Role: As Project and Account Manager I managed engagements with strategic clients. I’ve also been constantly involved in business development and contracts drafting and negotiation. I’ve been exposed to different industries, ranging from healthcare services to manufacturing. In the last 4 years I’ve worked mainly in the publishing sector (books, magazines and newspapers) with a focus on new venture design, business planning and new service development. My most relevant success has been the design and start-up of a NewCo devoted to eBook distribution, co-owned by three of the biggest Italian book publishing groups, from the business idea and opportunity evangelization, to the platform vendor selection to the HR recruiting and ramp-up of operations. I supported the Head of Division in the management of D.E. human capital (35 people) and of our project portfolio of 3,5+M€. I’ve been often engaged in enterprise innovation workshops in Italy, USA and UK as lecturer and facilitator.- Contribution: I directly managed projects worth 500+k€ (5% of CEFRIEL turnover) and clients worth little less than 1M€.- Specific Knowledge: Deep understanding of the publishing sector. Filo Diretto World Care (Agrate Brianza, IT), controlled by the Filo Diretto Group (insurance and assistance), is a start-up born to provide innovative telemedicine services worldwide (www.netforcare.com).- Role: Supporting the managing director, I dealt with Business Analysis and Strategy, presented our project to prospects and partners and drafted partnership agreements. Moreover I managed the technical area, overseeing the growth of our network and the development of our software, coordinating the efforts of two subordinates, providers and consultants.- Contribution: Design and development of an innovative e-consulting medical service (“Travel Care”, core product). Responsible for the creation of the “home care” area. Growth of the network from seven to about twenty affiliates in fifteen Countries. Management of the acquisition, upgrade and integration of a web-based medical service from a company under liquidation (www.medical-passport.com).

Philips Research Monza (shut down in early 2003) was a detachment of the central R&D division based in Eindhoven (NL) to which it directly responded. - Role: as Activity Leader I was responsible for the research carried out by my group in the field of digital image processing (optimization of perceptual quality) in cooperation with wordwide-based teams. I presented our work to internal clients in Holland, Germany and Italy and looked after the relations with the Patent Office for the whole Image Lab.- Contribution: several ideas of mine are now embedded inside Philips Semiconductor’s chips. I authored three patents and some scientific publications and carried out coaching activities with the junior researchers.

I developed SW components for the electronic patient record product, core business of the company, and supported managing UE funded projects (IST – IV Framework Program).
