Rolled up the sleeves and delivered data analytics gathering system to monitor the KPI's of the proposed Cloud Drive infrastructure. Advised the team and the management on technical issues with the infrastructure layout, proposed and validated technical feasibility of alternative approach.* Architected, developed and deployed a regex based log parsing framework for statistical analysis of Amazon Cloud Drive logs. The framework was horizontally scalable, capable of ingesting log streams of any type, and streaming aggregated event results to any repository.*Conducted an in depth study of the Amazon Cloud Drives metadata storage solution. The study identified flaws, and pain points of the present system, and offered several options to improve supportability, scalability and throughput of the system. The options included enhancements to the present storage system, as well as internal and external replacement alternatives.* Conducted an in depth study of Cloud Drive's data storage system. Worked closely with Network engineering, VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, Dynamo DB, and CloudFront groups to clearly understand Amazon network topology, and each system's design advantages and limitations. Based on the outcomes of the study, designed a streamlined system architecture for the next generation of Amazon Cloud Drive.* Designed and led a team of engineers to implement a metadata migration system. The system was responsible for porting of the Amazon Cloud Drives Metadata from the legacy storage into the next generation meta data storage system.

Was contacted by a previous colleague to join him in building a startup with the potential to revolutionize the Variable Annuity market place. The business focused on optimizing the Variable Annuity market, by eliminating the need for the costly middlemen, the broker dealers. We worked together and built state-of-the-art financial modeling software and a web application that allowed users to easily compare Variable Annuity products and to visualize financial outcomes. Prepared business plans, and financial projections. Launched a prototype site which gained some traction. Attempted to raise the seed round of funding to keep the light on and to take test the market fit of the product.

Was asked, and returned to The Hartford in order to lead the grid computing team. Quickly organized and aligned the team with key initiatives. Established development process and coding standards to improve delivery reliability and supportability of the code base. Acted as a liaison between the business partners and development to maximize development time. Work very closely with the actuarial business partners to understand their current modeling needs and future aspirations. Re-engineered the VA risk model. Optimized instruction execution, cache misses, and inverted the model execution cycle to allow for high degree of calculation concurrency. The new model combined with Condor grid scheduling framework allowed the actuaries to make better cache reserve estimates, and the trading desk to have a much more accurate view of market exposure. Was awarded Priceline Eagle award for outstanding work effort on the POPS migration project.* Contributed to the design of Priceline Offer Processing System (POPS), an n-tier DCOM based bid processing framework that handle bid traffic across all of Priceline's business lines. * Migrated Priceline's Arline's product business logic from Oracle PL/SQL procedures to POPS.* Worked with Oracle expert to performance tune PL/SQL procedures and queries.* Designed and implemented travel insurance product.* Streamlined performance of the airline product by eliminating data bottlenecks.
