Gordon Buchan is a highly experienced Transport Planner, having worked on wide range of projects across the UK, Ireland, the Baltics and Scandinavia. Gordon specialises in private sector development and renewable energy projects and is based in Edinburgh. As Sector Director for Energy, Gordon is responsible for the strategic development of our Energy business and helps connects clients to the vast experience available from Pell Frischmann's talented pool of staff across the UK.He has supported several significant renewables projects in the UK and have acted as Expert Witness on a number of Public Inquiries and NSIP hearings.Gordon has worked on over 600 wind farm sites, over 70 solar farms, peak power plants, battery storage sites, biomass plants and grid enhancement projects.He has given presentations at the ICE Infrastructure Show at the NEC and at the All Energy Conference in Aberdeen on two occasions. Gordon was a finalist in the 2018 NCE 100 Alternative Energy Award category.To assist in developing future engineers, Gordon regularly assists Napier University’s School of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment with mentoring for final year students and was made a Visiting Teaching Fellow in 2023.
