She regularly provides legal advice to companies who are looking for guidance in managing their daily and international business affairs, including: contract drafting & negotiations, international contract drafting and negotiations, business expansion, and distribution agreements.She also has extensive experience in complex commercial cases, including in the areas of breach of contract, shareholder and partnership disputes, construction disputes, commercial lease disputes and cross-border & international litigation. Goldie has appeared before various courts and administrative tribunals.Goldie understands that litigation can be costly and often can take years to resolve. As a business-minded litigator, Goldie protects her clients’ interests and resolves their legal issues with efficiency and commitment. Goldie regularly represents business owners, directors and officers, creditors, shareholders and private corporations, and partnerships in a wide range of industries.She also provides legal advice and consultation to various national and international organizations on international trade laws and treaties, including the Special Import Measures Act, the WTO, and free trade agreements such as NAFTA and the TPP. Goldie has appeared several times before the Canadian International Trade Tribunal and has represented clients all the way up to the Federal Court of Appeal.Outside of work, Goldie is actively involved in the Ottawa community: among other things, she is Vice President of the Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization and she fundraises for the Ottawa Humane Society.
