I build bridles and dead hangs out of steel, deck chains, dog bones, and shackles. The steel we build is what holds the very large lights, truss, video walls, audio, large set pieces, etc. you see hanging in the air when you go to music concerts, trade shows, and corporate events.

This steel is hung from the steel beams in the ceiling and the weight of the items can sometimes be as much as 50,000 pounds or more. To be a good ground rigger you must be able to read what is written on the floor and build the point. You also must be able to tie the proper ties with the rope which the up rigger will send down to you to tie the steel bridle or dead hang you have built up to the up rigger so they can secure the steel point to the steel beams in the ceiling of the building.
