His first project was for the Harold Loyd Estate at the age of nineteen, Gil designed a Thirty-Five foot Christmas tree and staged the Christmas Tree room for a Barbra Walters Special for this iconic sixty-five-room estate that was the largest estate in Beverly Hill's, California U.S.A.

Design and Staging for the annual Harold Lloyd Estate Christmas tree decorations on a Thirty-four-foot tree as well as overseeing Vals remodel of his Hollywood Hills home.At the time I was an apprentice to Valentino and assisted with Val's Lookout Mountain home off Laurel Canyon and subsequent projects.
