Tackling healthcare inequalities within the NHS and across local communities in England

I have been selected as a Fellow of the NHS Innovation Accelerator 2022 cohort. The Accelerated Access Collaborative and NHS England commissioned programme will help enable Written Medicine to spread its evidence based solution for across the UK and beyond. #NIA2022 https://nhsaccelerator.com/news-item/2022-fellows-announced/Written Medicine makes information about prescribed medicines accessible for those withcommunication barriers and reduces information access inequity. At the point of prescribing, dispensing and discharge, clinicians can print instructions, warnings and information in bilingual or accessible formats, comprising 15+ languages, pictograms, and illustrations drawn from datasets of 3000+ phrases.

MIEM is a charity raising the profile of health inequalities and communication barriers in black and minority ethnic (BAME) communities. MIEM commission community targeted health messaging campaigns on relevant topics of the day through infomercials and digital content to be published through traditional and social media.
