My goal was to provide hands-on, practical knowledge that would help them design and build meaningful, professional web & mobile interfaces mainly using Figma.Program Highlights:- Designer Mindset: I started by introducing participants to the creative process and the importance of cultivating a designer’s mindset. We dove into Figma, exploring its features and how to use it effectively in real-world projects.- UI Design Fundamentals: I taught the building blocks of UI design—alignment, spacing, grids, color, typography, and more—giving students the tools to create clean, functional interfaces.- Design Systems & Prototyping: The course included a deep dive into building design systems in Figma, creating components and variables, and scaling apps and websites. We also covered animation techniques to make designs more interactive.- Real-World Preparation: To prepare participants for the next step, I focused on presenting designs, getting feedback, and building a portfolio. We discussed how to find work as a freelancer or integrate into a product team.Building and running this program was a rewarding experience.
