- Redesigned in-ear sensors to be more scalable, and have lower and consistent impedance. This allowed me to build 350+ sensors that were deployed in several projects. - Introduced the concept of in-ear glucose sensing and validated the technology in healthy, pre-diabetic, type I and type II diabetic individuals.- Validated the use of in-ear EEG in older adults and people living with dementia through a joint sleep study with the University of Surrey. My contribution spanned building the sensors, collecting the data, analyzing the data, employing different machine-learning algorithms for automatic sleep staging and publishing results.- Introduced the idea of using the noise in data captured from our in-ear sensors to learn individual's different daily activities such as walking, talking, chewing and sitting.
