COSMIC’s mission is enabling the transition of ISAM to utilization, so that it becomes a routine part of space architectures and mission lifecycles. The consortium is NASA’s swift and strategic response to the December 2022 National ISAM Implementation Plan and officially kicked-off in the Fall of 2023. There are already nearly 200 member organizations across industry, government, and academia.

Katalyst is building the upgrade economy, adding new hardware like sensors to satellites already in space using robotics, even if they weren't designed for servicing.

Guidance, Navigation, and Control DepartmentDesign Experience with vehicles utilizing vertical and horizontal flight modes:- Conducted performance trade studies evaluating impact of various design decisions- Analyze launch performance for wide range of vertically launched scenarios- Authored guidance algorithms for autonomous flight- Wrote real-time safety-critical embedded flight software in Ada- Perform high fidelity 6DOF simulation analyses using simulations built in Fortran, Matlab, and Simulink in the Linux environment.- Supported multiple flight test events for both final integration on the launch pad and real-time telemetry monitoring in the control room.
