Associate Electrical Designer
Current•Design source transfer control schemes for load shedding and alternate source transfers, utilizing both hardwired logic with relays (e.g., GE, Schweitzer, Schneider) and PLCs, often involving Medium Voltage (MV) Load Break Switches and MV Breakers for seamless transfer operations.•Produce comprehensive electrical three-line wiring diagrams, control and schematic drawings, Bill of Materials(BOM), and control panel layouts for all electrical components using Zuken-E3 software.•Generate electrical approval drawings for clients, final manufacturing drawing packages, and electrical Bills of Material to comply with CSA, ANSI, and UL standards, specifically for switchgear manufacturing.•Offer assistance to team members on the manufacturing floor by addressing inquiries related to design and delivering solutions to potential production issues that may arise, ensuring deadlines are met.•Spearhead the preparation and issuance of engineering change notices, ensuring seamless integration of modifications as needed.•Develop wiring diagrams for both AC and DC schematics and provide support for various calculations, including those related to DC Battery and Charger systems.•Review and interpret mechanical drawings, offering insights and recommendations to optimize the layout of electrical control devices on panel designs.•Proactively identify and incorporate new control components such as relays, meters, control switches, and MV components (breakers and instrument transformers) into the Engineering Data Base, staying current with industry advancements.•Tools- Zuken E3, MicroStation, Microsoft Excel
