Full stack engineer & infrastructure admin who sets up and develops tech from all angles, including front & back e.g. I've created a iOS app while coding the back-end and researching architecture elements like Rails, Twitter Storm, Scala, and Python NLTK.

Co-founded a start-up company called Thaber. As CTO we developed a Ruby web applications. The applications was developed using Ruby 1.9, Sinatra, Grape, EventMachine, Netty, JMS and Backbone JS.The application leveraged HTML5/CSS3 features including transitions, push state, postmessage and others to provide exceptional user experience. We also used coffeescript to implement our JavaScript code. ElasticSearch was utilized to index and provide search results. Twitter Bootstrap 2.0 was implemented to provide a responsive UI design.

Developed a system that was responsible for managing parking permits in cities. The system was developed using an N-tiered architecture. The application was developed to run on a Tomcat 7.0/Servlet 3.0 environment. For display layer we used JSF 2.0. For the data layer we used Hibernate’s implementation of JPA and for the service layer we wrote simple POJOs that were glued together by Spring 3.0. The application was backed by a PostgreSQL database.

Worked on a medical insurance company account to develop their online portal. The portal was developed using WebSphere Portal, backed by a Mainframe system and a DB2 Database. We used PVCS for version control. The application used an in house MVC framework in tandem with Struts 1.x, Spring 2.x and Hibernate.

I was a consultant for Deutsche Bank account to develop a trade processing application. The application processed hundreds of thousands of trades daily.This application ran on a Weblogic 10 Server and utilizes JMS and EJBs to perform a transactional processing chain. Among the many improvements, I introduced a replicated caching system, utilizing JBoss Cache, to improve the performance, stability and alleviate the load on the Database.For the front-end I worked with JSF, Struts, Flex and Tiles. I Worked at integrating a BlazeDS/Hibernate/Spring/Flex stack to provide an exceptional user experience.
