As Executive Director at EqualityMaine, I advocate on behalf LGBTQ+ Mainers through education, political action and policy development, responsive programs, coalition relationships, and community building. While born in Boston, I have called Maine home for more than 20 years, wow that was fast. After earning degrees from both Syracuse University and the Savannah College of Art and Design, I was a high school teacher and coach for twenty years. In that time I transitioned on the job, becoming one of Maine's first out transgender public school teachers and one of America's first transgender high school coaches. Outside of work, I enjoy writing, making art, taking photos, cooking, and spending time as much time as possible in nature. My pronouns are she, her, and hers.
