Assists clinical team members in supplying care to pediatric patients. Complete tasks including taking vital signs, administering routine vaccinations, administering medications per doctors' orders, performing sterile catheterization, providing telephone triage to patients, and administering allergy vaccinations to patients. Utilize EClinicalWorks to document findings and report to physician with data.

Provide one-to-one care for pediatric patients with complex medical conditions. Complete tasks including gastrointestinal tube changes, taking vital signs, administering medication through patients' medication administration record, performing personal hygiene care, and providing breathing treatments.

-Work with health care professionals to provide patient centered care in an acute care setting.-Complete tasks including taking vital signs, completing AccuChecks, performing EKGs, sit with 1:1 continuous care patients, and assisting in patient ambulation to complete activities of daily living.-Utilize EPIC to document findings and report to the registered nurse with data.-Provide support to patients and their families through therapeutic communication.

-Sites: Thomas Jefferson University, Friends Hospital, Nemours Children’s Hospital, Thomas Jefferson Kennedy Hospital-Rotations: Medical-Surgical, Psychiatric, Pediatric, Obstetric, Labor & Delivery, Telemetry-Completed tasks delegated by a nurse including vital signs, EKGs, patient care, and documentation.

-Complete different service and volunteer work around the school and community. Activities include making toys for animals, walking to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s, working the Oxfam Hunger Banquet, MLK Day of Service, Make a Difference Day, and Bagging for Chairty.-Attend training and enrichment opportunities which include mental health discussion, Fannie Lou Hamer dedication, and social justice retreats.

Teacher’s Aide responsibilities include taking care of children in the age range of 1 to 5 years old. Assisted the head teacher to create lesson plans and activities for the children to complete.
