At present I offer short term advisory services in the domains of development cooperation, digitalisation for agriculture, social media, participatory mapping, drone based- services and enterprise development.I worked in the international development sector in Africa, Latin America, South Asia, South-East Asia, South Pacific and the Caribbean for several international organisations including the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), FAO and on projects funded by the Italian Aid to Development and the European Commission.Back in 1999 I developed Participatory Avenues www.iapad.org a web site dedicated to sharing knowledge on community mapping and collaborative spatial information management and later on www.ppgis.net a worldwide network of participatory mapping practitioners.Areas of my professional interest include technology innovation, mentoring enterprise development, documenting indigenous spatial knowledge for improving communication and managing conflicts on issues related to the territory, collaborative natural resource / protected area management, participatory spatial planning and networking.
