As Head of mechanical Engineering, reporting directly to the company CEO, I have been managing a team ranging from 5 to 7 projects engineers and technicians. My responsibilities have included planning of all mechanical engineering activities, the development and validation of new products, the configuration management of existing products and their modification, the evaluation of technical problems, the approval and issue of all technical documentation (drawing and fabrication specifications), the management of external engineering suppliers, technical support to the production department, control of production processes (hot forging hammering, close die forging, heat treatments, machining, coating and painting, plastic injection molding, sealing), design of special manufacturing equipment and control tooling.

As Programme Manager, reporting to the company CEO, I have been responsible for major and strategic programmes for the development, qualification, modification, manufacturing, filling and in service surveillance of different ammunitions. I have managed cross functional teams (Programme teams) within a matrix organization. Customers include leading international defense companies and MOD of primary European countries.I have also been involved in the preparation of technical documentation and commercial proposals and in the negotiation phases within international tenders.

Within the SME Robot project, funded by the EU 6th Framework Program, I served as coordinator of one of the program's work packages. I dealt with defining and coordinating the research activities of the various industrial and scientific partners involved in the program and representing ITIA at the periodic project coordination meetings .I led the research and experimental activities for the definition and evaluation of collision avoidance algorithms and teaching-by-demonstration programming, applied to industrial robots.Within my research activity I have been investigating force control applied to industrial manipulators. Main activities included 3D design of special machines, prototype equipment and devices in the automation sector, managing all the development phases, from definition of customer specifications and technical requirements, to component design, drafting, support to workshop activities and final acceptance testing with the customer.I have provided consultancy and research activities in the field of control and dynamic analysis of mechanical systems. I have dealt with the editing of technical and manual reports.
