Report to VP, R&D and part of a startup team to define and layout a new 390,000 sq. ft. R&D/Manufacturing “Greenfield project” for the development of schedule class II control Oral Solid Dose Pharmaceutical products. This $184MM project is a phased approach over multiple years with the initial emphasis on R&D operations. ✓ Participated in defining all critical utilities (compressed air, steam, dust collection, HVAC systems, chillers and USP water systems)✓ Assisted in defining 120,000 sq. ft. R&D operation consisting of GMP/non-GMP process space allocation requirements in addition to WH, analytical lab, control substance storage, solvent distribution and all supporting areas✓ Worked closely with core vendors to define R&D equipment requirements and procure equipment for both Early Formulation as well as Final Formulation Development (pilot plant operations). ✓ Subject Matter Expert (SME) to help define and approve all R&D equipment User Requirements (URS’s) with internal team. ✓ Created a three year project plan, timelines and budgetary cost analysis for all R&D equipment and operations✓ Projected operational expenses and head count requirements based on product mix and phased approach.
