Spending 30 hours automating model generation, which would have otherwise taken 30 minutes to model manually, is how I got into computational design. As an advocate for the iterative design process, it felt instinctive that I would go down this road and I am thrilled that I have. My ethos is centered on Proving - Improving - Discovering (PID):Proving: validating design development through the use of referenced analytics.Improving: optimizing development using measured results from iterations. Discovering: synthesizing new patterns and use-cases from optimized development.In practice, my experience comes from detailing emergent building facades and sculptural feature projects in the AEC industry. Central to each project, I utilized algorithmic toolkits for analyzing geometric typologies, generating fabrication ready models, and embedding metadata for software interoperability and installation reports.Offline from work, you can find me online attending a PAACADEMY workshop or researching an “original” groundbreaking idea I had the other day. In such an expansive field, I have optimistically dreamt of the many possibilities in which it could take me: Should I engage in Oxman’s nature-centric mission?
