Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) with 9 years of experience in industrial (Utilities-Power Generation) and manufacturing (Food Industry) fields, dedicated to support management teams and workforce in Consumers Energy-Generation sites. Certifications: MIOSHA 10hr, MIOSHA Level 1 and MIOSHA Occupational Health, MFR certified with the State of MI, fully bilingual (Spanish-English). Over the last 5 years I have been involved with Utilities, working with crew members, supervisors and managers to accomplish a safe place to work. My main focus has been to provide support to comply with local regulatory requirements and Company's safety program requirements, meeting or exceeding them. I have acted as a consultant for many groups as Local Safety and Health Guidance Team, Local Guidance Team Coaches, Root Grass Committees, etc. As part of the Corporate Safety and Health Department, I have been involved in many projects and initiatives to provide our Company with the right tools to ensure a safe place to work. I have also participated and lead numerous accident/incident investigations and developed the pertinent corrective actions. I have a background in General Medicine that helped me to achieve a high analytical level and also the skills needed to collect, classify and analyze data from this field of study. I had the opportunity to develop programs related to occupational health and safety. I had the opportunity to interact with different cultures in different countries (Mexico, Central America, Colombia, U.S.A.)
