SUMMARYMy first role in 1982 was junior trader hired by the 4th largest Brazilian coffee exporter, having its sales office in Geneva. My subsequent career moves took me to East Africa in 1985 and was promoted manager of the coffee department at Cargill East Africa ltd Nairobi.Further to my years as executive in the corporate world, trading agricultural commodities, I went solo and created my own Company in 2005. Consolidated Food Services (k) Ltd with its Head Quarters in Nairobi – Kenya. This new approach to business was intended to open a door into the hospitality and catering industry, however keeping a steady stream of consultancies and advisory services, appreciated by my clients seeking a very personalized, efficient and performing structure to formulate and complete numerous projects for various industries, private and Government entities, development agencies.CFS Ltd positioned itself as perfect conduite for “niche” clients aspiring to invest in an emerging market.The past 13 years, our multipurpose platform grew into developing new accounts within the hospitality and catering industry such as making its own investments, creating unique restaurants in Uganda and Kenya. I controlled the sourcing,purchasing in local currency, transforming from cherry into parchment and export high quality green coffee from Rwanda. Familiarized with 4 washing stations located on the high grounds near Lake Kivu, western part of Rwanda. Contribute in acquiring a coffee washing station and partnered with 11 cooperatives in the best part of the coffee belt, i.e. near lake Kivu south west part of Rwanda. Developed the construction project of our 1000m2 warehouse and office block in the Prime Economic Zone in Kigali Milling experience. Projections for the present crop estimated to 1000mts of green fully washed top specialty coffee from last year 350mts exported. Concluded and signed a 1 year milling and storage contract with a 3mts/hr facility near our CPU's.

Regional CoordinatorAmeropa Pty Durban Mar 2013 - Feb 2014Mombasa/Nairobi - KenyaPut in charge of selling a distressed consignment of white maize grain, ca 22'000mts in bags, originating from Malawi/Zambia, stored at the Port of Mombasa. Challenges were the goods had suffered long storage period, the corn had slightly discolored, the local maize production and southern TZ origin maize were crossing the boarder into Kenya, putting pressure on the price per bag in Kshg, tough negotiations with local millers discouraging business at my levels, but disqualified the maize because of its long storage time in the warehouses. Managed through convincing, price battles and quality wrangles to liquidate the position. Extremely exhausting situation going against all odds. Promoted and introduced the Company to the milling industry in Mombasa and Nairobi to supply bulk wheat cargoes into Mombasa, enjoyed great support form Durban H.Q., very efficient and swift operation team.
