About Gianluca Longoni, Mba, Phd

After graduating with a Master's degree in Chemistry, I pursued a PhD in Materials Science for Energy Storage. I worked successfully at international research centers, including Stanford University, and national centers, such as the Italian Institute of Technology. I am the author of more than 15 scientific publications in international journals, and I was awarded the Young Researcher of the Year Award (2018) by the ENI Enrico Mattei Foundation for my efforts in the field of energy. I gained professional experience in the microelectronics sector, first as a Process Engineer and then as a Program Manager within the R&D and Strategy division of STMicroelectronics (Milan). At STM, I contributed to the innovation process with numerous patents, 5 of which were accepted internationally. Passionate about Innovation Strategy, I obtained a Master of Business Administration (2023) from the Graduate School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano. I am determined to combine a deep scientific knowledge with a strategic vision to lead innovation in emerging technological sectors.
