About Gianluigi Maino

My professional career has been characterized by a strong interest in music, media and communication. In 10+ years of experience I have developed skills in the fields of music industry, especially music copyright (publishing, neighboring rights), music archiving and music consulting, as well as in communication, blogging and social networking. And politics: since May 2011 I’ve been elected city councilman in my hometown and since June 2016 I've been deputy Mayor and Councillor for Culture and Digitalization.I produced and hosted two radio shows, founded and contributed to several websites and editorial projects (I've been running a blog since mid 2000s, among other projects) and worked as a music consultant and archivist for La Cosa, a media and entertainment company who's got Mediaset and Sky among its clients. From April 2014 to July 2015 I worked as catalogue and label manager at Record Kicks, Milan based independent record company and music publisher specialized in black music (soul, deep funk, afrobeat) with a catalogue of 1000+ recordings and music publishing.Since August 2015 I've been working at Itsright, Italian collective management organisation for managing of neighbouring rights' revenue due for any kind of public use of recorded music. In these years I've developed skills about managing music rights, repertoires and relations between international CMO's.
