My name is Gianna Thai and a Master's student attending the University of San Diego for Healthcare Informatics. I have a background in the healthcare field as a registered nurse in a transplant unit. Having this sort of background helps me understand the clinical aspect and through my Master's program, I will be able to learn and understand the technical aspect of healthcare informatics. Through my profession, I was trained to use EPIC and use it to update my patients' charts and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. I am also proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint which are important for data sorting and analysis. When I graduate, I plan to work as a Clinical Analyst for hospitals to manage data and health information to benefit both the patient population and the hospital.
