These roles allow physicians to fully engage with patients and minimize keyboarding time.As a virtual medical scribe for Michigan Medicine, I listen to patient encounters through a HIPPA compliant audio connection, and document the pertinent details of the patients visit. I interact with physicians in real-time during and post appointments, allowing me to properly document patient information while acting as an assistant to my provider. Archangel Raphael’s Mission (ARMs) is a nonprofit organization that focuses on providing healthcare and hygiene services to those who in need. While homeless shelters and food banks focus on providing food and shelter, other necessities are often overlooked. ARMs works to provide people with hot meals, clothing, access to showers and hand washing stations, toiletries, and haircuts. I was educated on different healthcare initiatives that are currently benefiting homeless residents locally and nationwide. As an administrative intern, I spent time working behind the scenes to ensure success in event planning, managing data, preparing promotional assets, analyzing and producing insights and recommendations, and correspondence among team members. I also assisted in constructing social media posts to spread awareness about homelessness and additional resources. • Assisted in planning an event for the rollout of mobile hygiene units• Recruited local high-profile media outlets• Spread awareness to residents in homeless shelters and food banks with information about available resources • Increased understanding about ARMs and homelessness on social media platforms

The YMCA of Western Monmouth is devoted to providing a sense of community and togetherness while focusing on human health. They provide resources for people of all ages to better their psychical and mental health. The YMCA focuses on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in hopes to build healthy environments and communities. I worked through the YMCA’s aftercare program at an elementary school to provide students with care during afterschool hours. I was trained to provide educational and engaging experiences to children in the program while supervising their physical and social activities. This was a creative role as I had to help with arts and crafts projects, and come up with new ways to keep kids involved.
